Marketing & Inside Sales Representative Intern

Position Summary:


This position will be split 50/50 between Marketing and Inside Sales duties. Marketing duties include working on marketing collateral and creating and executing a plan to market the company’s products and services. Inside sales duties will include targeting and developing clients through existing database and new leads, and scheduling needs analysis meetings for the external sales team. Achieve monthly revenue and sales objectives.

Essential Functions:


Marketing:
  • Create marketing plan and campaigns for the firm’s products and services 
  • Design and create marketing collateral 
  • Market the firm and products and services through traditional as well as online marketing channels 
  • Market the firm via Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and other social media platforms 
  • Ensure the content on the firm’s web site stays current and aligns with the firm’s marketing plan 
  • Manage consistency in email, Web, telephone, and other communication 

Inside Sales:
  • Develop target lists and update the firm’s sales database Make sales calls and send approved sales emails 
  • Schedule appointments for external sales team
  • Update the sales database/CRM System with all notes, appointments, histories, etc. for each prospective client
  • Achieve weekly inside sales quotas for: number of calls made, number of clients converted, number of deals closed, etc.

Required Competencies:


  • Proficiency with digital technologies including: Browsers, HTML, Flash, JavaScript, Adobe Suite, etc. 
  • Must be proficient using computers to perform general tasks such as composing letters, writing reports, creating presentations, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher) 
  • Knowledge of using the internet to perform research or to find needed information 
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be personable 
  • Ability to meet established deadlines

Education/Training:


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree earned, or in progress, in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Advertising, or related disciplines, or related field or equivalent work experience

Must have ability to research problems using available resources, such as other internal staff members, manuals, the internet etc. 
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, including strong telephone and client communications skills 
Must be confident, organized, and enthusiastic about our unique concept 
Must have the ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of people 
Must be able to work with digital marketing agencies and other strategic marketing partners, as needed 
Must be able to develop qualified leads as well as continue existing client relationships

Work Schedule: Core business hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Intern will work on a part-time basis, inside the core business hours.
